Have you ever gone to your kitchen cupboard and fetched simple ingredients that you find there and wondered whether they can make your skin glow? Well, the response is - yes, they can certainly do!
I have used every kind of skin care. Others were fabulous, some simply did not fit me. Yet, there is one thing I have learned and that is that simple and easy household remedies sometimes are the most effective ones and they are readily prepared by our grand mommies, using homemade, simple and natural ingredients only.
I am here with 7 amazing easy to make DIY face masks that you can create at the comfort of your own kitchen and you are likely to have all the ingredients at home. These face masks are soft, executable and best suited in infusing your skin with a sexy natural glow.
1. Honey and Turmeric Face Mask
The reason why it works:
Honey is nature humectant which is to say, keep your skin hydrated. Turmeric, conversely, is characterized to have an anti-inflammatory and lightening effect.

✨ Why it works: Honey is a natural humectant – which means it keeps your skin moisturized. Turmeric, on the other hand, is known for its anti-inflammatory and brightening properties. 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🧴 How to use: Mix both ingredients into a smooth paste. Apply it to your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. Tip: Wear an old T-shirt while applying turmeric – it can stain.2. Besan (Gram Flour) and Curd Mask
Ingredients:
1 tbs besan 1 teaspoon curd Use: Combine together in paste and apply smoothly. Dry it 15min and wash with cold water. You skin will become soft and fresh immediately! I have seen my mom use this before each and every family wedding. It does not fail.3. Lemon Juice Face Mask and Aloe Vera
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon gel of aloe vera 1teaspoon lemon juice Use: Mix and rub all over on the face. Take 10 minutes off. Wash in water. Note: Carry out a patch test when you have sensitive skin because lemon has been known to sting sometimes.4. Oatmeal milk masks

Oats relax the irritated skins and assisting with dryness. Milk is a very gentle exfoliant and a nourishing agent.
Ingredients:
2 x tablespoons oats (ground) 2 tbs of raw milk Use: Combine and apply on a clean skin. Leave it to sit 15 minutes. When cleaning it off, scrub in a circular motion. This is ideal at the end of the sunny day. I adore wearing it on a summer.5. Honey and Banana Face Mask

Banana contains a lot of antioxidants and vitamins. It moisturizes plus enhances the skin texture. Honey provides wetness and radiance.
Ingredients:
1 banana (ripe; mashed) 1 tsp honey Use: Cream the banana and combine it with the honey. Massage in 15-20 minutes. Wash in cold water. Bonus: The remaining mix can also be applied on the hands and feet!6. Rose Water Mask used with Papaya
The reason it works:
Papaya has an enzyme known as papain which soft exfoliates and renews the skin. Rose water has the cooling and toning effect on the skin.
Ingredients:
2-3 cube ripe papaya (mashed) 1 teaspoon rose water Use: Make into a paste and smooth over. You should wait 15 minutes and then wash it off. I have used this one prior to a photoshoot- it was chef kiss.7. Cucumber and Multani Mitti (Fuller s Earth) Mask
Why it works:
Cucumber de-fluxes and removes swellings. Multani mitti assists in the process of closing pores and eliminating excessive oil.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cucumber juices
1 tbsp Multani mitti
How to:
Combine and apply. Leave it to dry around 10-12 minutes. Rinse in cold water.
Ideal on oily skin or after a moist day in the outside world.

Face masks should be used on clean and dry skin every time.
Apply face mask 2-3 times a week to get the best results.
It is also followed by a moisturizer after rinsing the mask.
